Integrating electromobility into sustainable smart buildings and site management.
The lack of charging infrastructure for electric vehicles in public spaces is one of the major challenges of the mobility transition. The problem: Up to now, the expansion of charging options has been sluggish because it is cost-intensive and often economically unattractive for operators. The Green4EVer research project has therefore set itself the task of tapping the large, as yet underutilized potential of semi-publicly accessible parking areas and charging stations, e.g., at office buildings, company parking lots, in industrial areas or at shopping centers for charging e-vehicles – and at the same time working on IT solutions that simplify the management and operation of the charging points. Such charging points could supply the majority of all electric vehicles with energy in everyday life and increase the utilization of the installed charging infrastructure.
