Dig-CirclE
Cycle of fiber-plastic composites
The recylcling economy for fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) composite structures, taking into account processes such as remanufacturing, repair and recycling, is to be automated and digitized in order to provide economical processes. For example, artificial intelligence (AI) for sorting plastics by type, the latest AI modeling methods in component analysis and automatic quality control, and self-learning systems (SLS) for innovative repair processes are to be developed. In addition, a data basis for autonomous systems and processes with robots must be created. A central role is assigned to intelligent data management, which recognizes patterns and regularities by means of artificial intelligence and enables autonomous processes. As a result of Dig-CirclE, an AI-supported diagnostic system for an efficient circular economy of complex FKV structures in the automotive industry and aviation is to be developed.
