The DFKI (German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence) conducts research on “AI for Humanity” with a focus on societal relevance and scientific excellence in key future-oriented research and application areas of AI. We are convinced that AI techniques can help address major societal challenges such as human-induced climate change, social injustices, and the fight against dangerous diseases, and we are committed to tackling these tasks with great energy.
As the largest independent research center for AI worldwide, we initiate, implement, and support numerous activities to position reliable and trustworthy AI from Germany and Europe at the forefront of international competition.
